EMPOWERING LIVES THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS: THREE MAJOR BENEFICIARIES

In a strategic move to channel funds towards impactful local causes, CMC Foundation carefully selected four major partners as beneficiaries of its charitable initiatives.

Each partner plays a vital role in addressing unique challenges within the community, aligning with the foundation’s mission to make a positive and lasting impact. The chosen partners are:

CONTRIBUTIONS IN 2023

CMC Foundation, in collaboration with Club Maitland City and Red Funnel, embarked on a significant initiative to support Maitland Regional Community Support (MRCS). The collaborative effort resulted in a generous donation of $1500 worth of bulk dry goods to MRCS’s kitchen. This vital facility plays a crucial role in preparing and freezing meals for individuals facing challenges in affording food. As a continued commitment, the club initiated a weekly contribution of freshly cooked meals to MRCS, with a cumulative total surpassing 1000 meals since May 2023.

DONATION TO CARRIE’S PLACE

In August, with help from Harvey Norman in Rutherford, a donation of white goods and electrical items valued over $3000 was made to Carrie’s Place. This significant contribution played a pivotal role in furnishing a home for a local family, facilitating their transition away from the hardships of domestic violence.

CASH HOUSIE FUNDRAISING

In November, the Cash Housie sessions kicked off and in a mere two months,
these sessions, raised over $45,000 for the Foundation. December was a milestone moment for CMC Foundation as it proudly donated $10,000 each to its three major partners – Carrie’s Place, Maitland Regional Community Support (MRCS), and the Harry Meyn Foundation.

CONTRIBUTIONS IN 2024

We proudly sponsored the Friends of Palliative Care Inc.- Maitland, Singleton, Cessnock and Dungog Fun Run held in March. We also had a team of 14 participates in the event. Club Maitland City & CMC Foundation together raised $2580. Through this sponsorship we also welcomed FOPC as a new Major Partner to the Foundation

NEXT MAJOR MILESTONE

The Foundation’s next Major milestone came in May 2024 when another $10,000 was donated to each of our Partners making the total cash donations since December 2023 $70,000.
